Dr. Carrie Burger, DPT, C-IAYT is the owner of Carried Away Physical Therapy and Yoga, LLC, in Montgomery
County, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State
University in Health Education and Science, a Master’s degree from Hahnemann/Drexel University in
physical therapy, and a doctorate degree from Arcadia University in physical therapy. She is a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and a graduate of Spanda® Yoga Movement Therapy.


With vast experience in out-patient therapy settings, skilled rehab, home health and pediatrics, Dr. Burger is well qualified to assess and treat a wide variety of afflictions in her private practice setting. With an interest in neuromuscular disorders, she is certified as a LSVT BIG® and BIG for LIFE® Parkinson’s Disease provider and is able to offer this unique and trade-marked program to individuals suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.


Carrie is registered as a RYT-500 hour Yoga Instructor through the Yoga Alliance, has earned the AEA
Aquatic Fitness Professional certification, a certification in Mindfulness Meditation under Rajaa Azouqa,
and has completed further course work in pediatric yoga and mindfulness. Carrie works in a local school
district as a physical therapist, and is a yoga instructor and mindfulness meditation teacher for the Ambler YMCA.


Carrie enjoys using the healing properties of water to provide aquatic physical therapy and aquatic yoga  to people of all ages.  She utilizes the language of yoga and mindfulness to help motivate and treat chronic pain and
movement disorders in her patients across all settings. Carrie treats private clients and offers small-group yoga classes in her home studio.  She is blessed to bring healing through this body-mind-spirit practice to others.
